For 2026-27, USDA adds $0.32 per CACFP supper as cash in place of USDA Foods (commodities), on top of the supper rate. Tick the box to include it if your program receives it.

Reimbursement defaults are the USDA CACFP free rates for July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 (48 contiguous states). Alaska and Hawaii rates are higher. Cost defaults are from Champion's 2026-27 sales sheet; your price depends on your distributor.

You Don't Have to Serve the Snack First

The Super Snack can be served in place of your afterschool snack, or before it. USDA rules let at-risk afterschool programs serve one supper and one snack per student each day, in any order.

  1. Serve the Super Snack firstRight after the bell, in the cafeteria, music room, gym, sports fields or any enrichment area.
  2. Add a regular snack later, if you likeStudents who stay for late programs can still get a snack.
  3. Feed more, earn moreA complete meal right after school reaches more students and earns the higher supper reimbursement.

If you serve both a supper and a snack, many states require time between the two meal services (often about 2 hours between the start of each). Check with your state agency.
