How School Lunch Works
What It Is
The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) reimburses schools for lunches that meet the USDA meal pattern.
What a Lunch Needs
Five components: fruits, vegetables, grains, meat or meat alternate, and milk, with amounts set by grade group (K–5, 6–8, 9–12).
Grade Groups
Champion builds kits for elementary/middle school and high school portions.
